Beauty Tips

Lemon Scrub... It really works!
Hello ladies, I want to talk to you guys about something I tried and for only being two times, I already love it! So this Is what I did. I began making my own Lemon Scrub! I tried it and surprisingly it worked.

What you need...
1 Lemon
1/4 Cup of Sugar
Clean bowl
What to do...
Cut lemon 1/2
Squeeze 1/2 lemon into sugar
Mix (It should have the consistency of a thin paste. Add more juice if necessary. If the consistency gets too thin, you simply need to add a little more sugar.)
Dip your fingers into the scrub and massage it into your skin.
Fresh lemon juice is one of the best things you can use for skin care. The juice naturally cleanses, hydrates, tones and heals your skin. Citric acid contained in lemon juice exfoliates your skin, which is essential to speed up the treatment of acne. It also dries any pimples you might have. It also whitens your skin and that diminishes redness of your pimples. Being that it does whiten your face I don't use it much. I just use this lemon scrub 2ce a week. You may also apply lemon juice to acne scars in order to encourage their swift healing. Ain't that AMAZING! It's not only good for acne its also good for treating...
freckles
age spots
blackheads
skin discoloration
pimples or zits
sun spots
dull looking skin
After the cleansing I dried my face and I couldn't believe how SOFT my skin felt. Another thing I noticed was that it didn't dry my face.

Fashion Tips 401

Try on all of your favorite clothes. Take notes on how they fit and flatter you. Then shop for similar colors, fabrics, shapes and lengths. A great fit can make an outfit, just as a poor fit can break it! A well-cut suit is one of the most flattering outfits you can own. Remember: dark tones create a long line. Choose a fingertip length jacket or one that falls mid-hip. Pants should be straight leg or boot cut and the hem should be worn slightly long. Select flat knit, fine rib and jersey tops; Choose pants with flapless pockets, flat fronts with just enough stretch for added comfort.

Skinny bottom half? Wear a full top over narrow pants
Short waisted? Wear a long top and short skirt
Petite torso? Wear a fitted top with full pants
Long waisted? Pair a short top with long bottoms

Know thyself - Know your proportions!
Show off the trimmest parts of your body by combining a tight fitting piece with a loose fitting one. Any color worn head to toe in a clean, unbroken line will produce a dynamically slimming effect. Don't worry if separates don't match exactly. Tonal variations are a creative alternative. Taller bodies can take larger prints and more contrast. The darker a print's background, the slimmer the look.

Blouses: a collared shirt always gives a torso a few good inches and frames the face handsomely. A slim v-neck makes the neck appear longer and is usually very flattering.

Boatnecks are great for minimizing waists and hips, while maximizing sexy shoulders. If your legs are fuller inside, try a side slit. If your legs are fuller outside, a mid-front or back slit is a better choice.

There is never an excuse for panty lines! A thong is a girl's best friend - they even come with tummy control.   Bright colors bring attention to an area - make sure you wear them wisely and only on your most flattering body parts. Dark hosiery is in this fall. While brightly colored turquoise and scarlet hose may look great in the store window, muted hues like teal and wine are much more flattering. Match the shoe and the hose color to tighten the look even more. A shoulder bag tucked quietly under the arm is most flattering.

Beauty Tips!!

Whiteheads, also known as milia, are small bumps that are white at the tip and are filled with pus. Whiteheads most commonly form on the face, upper arms, upper back, chest, and neck but can be found on other areas of the body as well. Whiteheads form when excess oil, sebum, is secreted from the sebaceous glands and clog the pores or hair follicles of the skin. Bacteria and dirt in the air mix with the oils, causing whiteheads and acne to form. Whiteheads are different than blackheads – whiteheads can turn into blackheads if they are opened up and not treated properly.

Below are tips on how to properly treat whiteheads:

1. Gently cleanse your face, neck, back, and anywhere else you may have whiteheads two to three times a day. Use a gentle face cleanser for any affected areas –not regular bar soap!

2. If you need to pop a whitehead, take a sharp point of a sterilized needle and poke a hole in the center of the whitehead. Then using two fingers (not fingernails!) or two soft q-tip heads, gently squeeze out the white pus from the whitehead.  Stop if clear liquid or blood comes out.

3. Visit your dermatologist. He or she may recommend a special medicated cleanser or topical treatment if they feel the need, depending on the severity of the breakout.

4. Do not pick at whiteheads. Doing so will cause the whiteheads to spread to other areas of the body.

5. Use oil-free cosmetics and skin care products. Paraben-free and fragrance-free products are better to use as well.

6. Don't wash your face or body more than 3 times a day because you can actually breakout more from over washing.

7. Avoid processed foods and foods high in fat, oils, or sugars. Eat lots of fruits and veggies and lean proteins.

8. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to keep your body hydrated. This will in turn, help keep your skin clear.

9. Don't sleep on oily or dirty hair because these oils will get into your skin, clogging your pores and causing you to breakout more.

10. Live a healthy lifestyle by working out regularly and avoid smoking and heavy drinking of alcohol. Good health is proven to do wonders for your skin!
